Duka Bay Resort

Last weekend I got the chance to visit Duka Bay Resort in Medina, Misamis Oriental. We rode a jeepney from Cagayan de Oro City to Medina, Misamis Oriental for at least 2 hour trip.

You can have two options in getting there. You can take a 2 hour bus ride from Agora  Terminal or by renting a van or taxi. In our case, we rented a passenger jeepney for only Php2,000  roughly ($45 USD).

In Duka Bay, you can have a lot of things to enjoy. Kayaking, aquabike and banca paddling will surely sweat you out. Marine life is very well preserve in the area. It is a sanctuary of Dory,  Nemo and the rest of the gang of the movie ‘Finding Nemo’ except the shark of course! You can take a closer look with them with Duka Bay’s glass bottom boats which only cost Php400.00 per trip. You can also swim with them by renting snorkel gears at the Duka Bay Dive shop or touch them by diving underwater and meet Nemo and friends face to face.

I would recommend that you plunge into the water in the early morning and scuba dive and snorkel at around 10am so you could see the underwater clearly. I haven’t tried scuba diving when I was there. But I’ve seen the Duka bay Marine life with the glass bottom boat and snorkeling for almost 2 hours. I didn’t take any underwater photos because I didn’t have any water resistant gears but I will surely get one. And when I do have, I will be back snorkeling and probably try scuba diving in Duka Bay for sure.

I escaped last week from the boring world and went to Camiguin Island. Boarded Paras Sea Cat and took me 2 hours getting to Camiguin island from Cagayan de Oro port. The photo above is just one of the great scenic views in the Island.

A perfect view of sunset from Claveria. It appears to me as a very sad scene. While looking at this picture loneliness fills me as if I will not be able to see someone again. I hate the feeling coz it reminded me of a heartbreaking experienced that I dont want to experience again.

What flower is this? It is pinkish red and has tiny petals. Can anyone help me with the name? I remember I had one like this from my garden before but it was yellow. I like the flower very much, they are so lovely but I dont know the name. Help me give justice to this flower please.

The Kaamulan Festival is a Bukidnon ethnic-cultural festival that takes place from the last week of February to the first week of March. Kaamulan, from the Binukid word amul, “to gather”, is an indigenous Bukidnon term for a gathering for any purpose. It can mean a datukship ritual, a wedding ceremony, a thanksgiving festival during harvest time, a peace pact, or any number of these together. The Festival is held in Malaybalay City from the second half of February to March 10, the anniversary date of the foundation of Bukidnon as a province in 1917,d to celebrate the culture and tradition of the seven ethnic tribal groups—Bukidnon, Higaonon, Talaandig, Manobo, Matigsalug, Tigwahanon and Umayamnon—that originally inhabited the province.
